AIM:

   A Plug and Play Raspberry Pi that uses free and legal internet resources to enhance privacy & home security.

Features:

1.     IOT Device Security –

a.     The Raspberry Pi was connected to Proton VPN over internet using ethernet cable.

b.   Once the connection is established, the raspberry pi emits Wi-Fi Signal. The IOT devices connect to the Pi’s Wi-Fi to access the internet. This means, all packets will now use the encrypted VPN tunnel (from Pi to Proton VPN Server). This provides an extra layer of security to the IOT devices that does not have dedicated security mechanism.

c. The user can now use one VPN account for entire home rather than using it in a per device basis.

        

2.     VPN Service -

 a. The raspberry pi also works as a VPN service provider using Open VPN with AES – 256 Encryption security. 

              3.     Add-Blocking and Tracing –

 a. The same Pi ran DNS Service (Pi-hole) and add blocking service (U-Block Origin). Any device connected to Pi’s Wi-Fi was able to block 98% of pop-up ads and majority of the You-Tube video Ads.

4.     Performance Monitoring and Automation –

  a. The Raspberry Pi was also constantly monitoring Network speed and keeping a log of it with a screenshot.

  b. A Script that would execute all these features IS developed and runs during the start-up.
